Food Delivery Apps Whetting Up Singapore's Appetite
What would we do without food delivery apps these days? Day or night, even under CB and HA restrictions, the food delivery riders always come to our rescue.
Happily for us, new players have entered the food delivery space recently – complete with promotions – making us truly spoilt for choice.
Take Pickupp, for example, which is celebrating National Day with 40% off food bundles from Mdm Ling Bakery, J2 Crispy Curry Puff, City Donut, Haig Road Putu Piring, and more (#SupportLocal ok!), plus 50% off flash sales on 29 July, 5 August, and 12 August (between 8pm to 9pm).
Here, a list of food delivery apps in Singapore (that deliver islandwide) at our disposal, starting with a few new kids on the (HDB) block.
Why peeps love it: It's the food delivery app that comes to mind when it comes to cakes, snacks, and other baked treats. Pickupp organises group buys with bakeries for great deals. Whether you're in the mood for cheesecakes or curry puffs, your tea time settle already.

Why peeps love it: Group buy for discounts on fresh food and groceries, now also offering food delivery with three things that are music to every Singaporean's ears - no delivery fees, no service charge, and no GST. Food selection is limited though.
Psst: Claim a $5-off food delivery voucher from the app before 8 August.
Why peeps love it: Cheapest hawker food delivery from the top food centres in Singapore. Great way to support our hawker culture. The app is easy to use and has a great looking user interface. However, delivery timings can be a little inaccurate.
Psst: Use Happy56SG for $5.60 off until 10 August. Click here for more promotions.
Why peeps love it: Chinese food dine-in reservations and pre-order, as well as takeaways and deliveries. They carry top Chinese makan spots such as Haidilao Hot Pot, Yun Nans, Paradise Dynasty, and more. App has some issues, especially with payment.
Psst: Discounts for some menu items or bundles depending on restaurant.
Why peeps love it: Healthy atas-looking meals that taste good, on demand. They also do catering for webinar meetings (tell your boss!). You can even order meal plans on a weekly basis. Prices are a little ex.
Psst: Click here for 25% off meal plans if you’re vaccinated against COVID-19.
Why peeps love it: One of the top 3 food delivery apps in Singapore, Deliveroo offers a monthly subscription for free deliveries at $16.90/month for every $18 or more food order or $6.90/month for every $38 or more food order. They are keeping Singapore pride high with S$1 delivery fee for all grocery orders in August, as well as orders from nearly 300 restaurants until 15 August. Deliveroo will also offer free delivery from small and medium-sized businesses from 2 August.
Psst: New customers get 14 days free delivery (until 1 November).
Why peeps love it: The OG of food delivery apps, with one of the widest selections of food available. Some of the food pickup options even offer discounts cheaper than buying from the actual place itself. There’s also a pandapro subscription for more discounts and free delivery depending on the restaurant.
Psst: On the main app screen, scroll all the way down to see the daily deals.
Why peeps love it: When it comes to the widest food selection available, it’s either this or Foodpanda. You can earn GrabRewards Points for every order you make, plus they tend to roll out new promos or campaigns quite regularly.
Psst: Enter TEATIME for free delivery between 3pm – 5pm everyday. Valid till 31 August. Check “Offers” on the Grab home screen for more deals.
