Junyang Pow: This terminally ill artist held a "living funeral" solo exhibition to celebrate life
With the help of Ambulance Wish Singapore, Junyang – who was battling Stage 4 urachal cancer – held his dream solo showcase at Suntec City in January 2025, describing it as “an art exhibition disguised as a living memorial”. Although Junyang passed away in March, his legacy lives on.

Amani and Alani: They made history as Singapore's first tag team twin wrestlers
Singapore's first-ever twins tag team duo made their pro-wrestling debut in May this year. With a shared love for wrestling since childhood, the sisters held their own remarkably against their larger and more experienced opponents, winning the crowd over with their likeability and fluid teamwork.

Wayne Chng's prowess at capturing the perfect nature shots goes beyond technical skill. It's borne of patience, meditative contemplation, and a willingness to slow down and appreciate the quiet beauty of the wildness that still exists amidst Singapore's urban landscape.

Serving Singapore together in the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS), this father-son duo marched side by side in the DIS' Guard of Honour contingent at this year's NDP. Off-duty, they share command of a "mini RSAF unit": their 12 (yes, 12!) pet parrots.

LTC Muhammad Iskandar: This pilot (and cat dad!) leads Singapore's best fighter squadron
Beginning his journey in the sky with the Singapore Youth Flying Club in 2008, LTC Iskandar has flown in the National Day Parade 3 times so far, and served as the F-15SG formation Flight Lead at this year's National Day Parade. In his free time, he has his feet firmly on the ground, spending his time immersing himself in nature and pampering his 20-year-old American Shorthair Mister Kitty.

Terry Neo: This pest controller chose an "uncool" job on purpose
Pest control isn't a typical dream job, but there's nothing Terry Neo would rather do for a living. Describing it as "part biology, part science, and part problem-solving all rolled into one", he sees it as a way to make a real difference and improve people's well-being.

Juliette Yu-Ming Lizeray: She turned her ADHD into part of her artistic process
Instead of seeing her ADHD diagnosis as a limitation, Juliette embraced it as a part of her, turning it into a creative superpower and letting it fuel her dynamic, ever-evolving creative process. One of her most ambitious projects to date, "Snakes of Singapore", saw her paint 30 different local snake species over 30 days as part of Funan Mall's CNY festivities.
Her paintings were later auctioned off for charity, raising over $3,000 for for ACRES. Psst: Snakes of Singapore has since been turned into an actual book described as an "experimental field guide", which will be in print next year.

This grandmother of two, who lost her son to childhood cancer and whose adult daughter has Down Syndrome, found her calling in volunteering with Mushroom Buddies.
