How Long Should You Store Frozen Food?

Fresh poultry

Six to 12 months. Whole chickens and turkeys can be kept frozen for up to one year but cut pieces should be consumed within nine months.

Cooked poultry

Four months

Fresh beef, pork and lamb

Six to 12 months. But bacon, sausages and luncheon meat should be consumed within one month.

Fish

Two to three months for fatty fish like mackerel and salmon.
Six months for lean fish like cod.

Other seafood

Two to three months for crabs, lobsters, oysters and so on.

Soups and stews with vegetables and meat

Two to three months
