While on his way home, Ang witnessed a Pathlight student enthusiastically talking to an SMRT staff member sitting beside him. The SMRT staff member was patiently answering the boy's questions about buses, showing him pictures and even asking him questions to keep the conversation going.
As Ang noted, there are two things we can take away from this exchange.
One is that special needs students have their own unique talents and should be cherished as a part of our society.
The other is that we should strive to be more like the SMRT staff member who was both kind and gracious throughout the entire exchange, treating the boy with patience and respect.
