Games In October: Party-Perfect Hits, Remakes, And New Adventures

The holiday season is just around the corner, and the gaming world is getting ready to pull out all the stops. Sony just dropped a bombshell with their PlayStation 30th anniversary edition that screams nostalgia for PS1 owners, and the brand new PS5 Pro made its playable debut at last week’s Tokyo Game Show. Not to be outdone, Nintendo has opened a new museum in Kyoto, and we need to visit!

But let’s talk games – October has fresh party game releases and some die-die must-play remakes. Whether you’re up for a cosy game night or ready to dive back into iconic adventures, this month’s lineup has got you covered.

Silent Hill 2

The legendary horror title rises from the grave 23 years after the original. You’re still James Sunderland, venturing into the hantu-infested Silent Hill after receiving a creepy letter from your dead wife. From the trailers, this remake seems to blend a modern Resident Evil vibe with third-person combat, stealth, and all the jump-scares you can handle. If you're up for a hair-raising experience, Silent Hill 2 will have you clutching your controller for dear life.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero
