Tired of wearing the same ‘ol reusable mask every every day? These local crafters and apparel makers are releasing their own designs, meaning that you can stay safe and stay fashionable (or as fashionable as one can look while making grocery runs), while supporting a small local business.

If you think that masks made out of Egyptian cotton are a little extra, well, think again: heritage tailor CYC is making them out of excess shirting material, which might otherwise go to waste. As such, whatever design you receive in the mail will be a surprise.

The firm also gave out DIY mask kits for home sewers in hope of distributing 200,000 masks to migrant workers. The volunteer slots are now full, but we certainly applaud the effort.

Since the temporary closure of our shop at Pan Pacific, with no sales order and no customers. We use the time we have at our workshop to make fabric masks. We have been using 2-ply cotton to sew into our in-house design mask to give away to relatives, friends and some customers. We still have some 10-15 pieces (adults and a few children ones) left to give away. We will be making about 50 to 100 more until the lockdown on Tuesday. Yeap, doing the last bit we can even on the last mile. If you know of anyone who needs it, give us a shout below. We are also calling out to logistics and @grab_sg delivery drivers or riders as they will be out and about during the lock down period, we are happy to give away not one but two masks, (while stocks last) so you can wash one while the other is being worn.
