International Women's Day: Main Character Energy, Singapore Edition

Every year on 8 March, the world commemorates International Women's Day (IWD), a global celebration of women's social, economic, cultural and political achievements. But beyond the hashtags and panel discussions, the real stories are unfolding closer to home.

Right here in the Lion City, women are climbing mountains (literally), stepping into wrestling rings, building inclusive communities, rewriting the creative playbook, and turning personal pain into purpose.

To celebrate IWD 2026, we’re shining the spotlight on some of the remarkable women we’ve featured on Wonderwall.sg - women who aren’t waiting for permission, applause or perfect conditions. They’re simply getting on with it. And in doing so, they’ve changed and continue to change Singapore in ways big and small.
