New 'Aldnoah.Zero' Movie Puts Singapore In The Anime Spotlight
Wait just an anime minute - did you see what we just saw in a new trailer?!
The "Aldnoah.Zero" series is making a major cinematic comeback with a theatrical compilation titled "Aldnoah.Zero (Re+)", screening in Japanese theatres for a limited time starting 28 Feb 2025. And here’s where things get extra exciting for us: Singapore’s iconic Rain Vortex at Jewel Changi Airport might just steal the show.
This cinematic recap of the beloved mecha anime will revisit unforgettable moments from the original TV series while treating fans to something new – a never-before-seen episode 24.5, "Fragments of Rain -The Penultimate Truth-".
A recently released trailer teased a breathtaking blink-and-you'd-miss-it scene (at the 0:25 mark) featuring the Rain Vortex, sparking speculation that it could play a pivotal role in the storyline.
Too bad, though, that (as far as we know) the screenings will only be in Japanese theatres and not in Singapore.
Could Singapore’s stunning architecture become the backdrop for a climactic mecha showdown? Watch this space!
