The Most Beautiful City In Asia Is... Singapore!
Not say we want to hao lian, but it's always such a joy to see our beloved little island sharing the same top accolades as cities like Paris, New York and London.
Based on a recent survey of more than 1,000 travel writers, travel bloggers and travel agencies, Flight Network – one of the largest Canadian-owned online travel agencies – released a list of The World's 50 Most Beautiful Cities.
According to the website: "This extensive collaboration produced the most thoughtful and definitive list of the World’s Best Cities – a guide that will inspire travellers not only in 2019 but for years to come."
It added: "This unparalleled guide will both challenge you to take a fresh look at famous megacities like New York and dream of new destinations like chilly and charming Bergen, Norway."
Singapore came in at number 11 on the list. Said Selene Brophy of Traveller24.com, one of the judges: “This is such a special and innovative city with a rich culture, and so accommodating – you can’t but help be swept away by it all when visiting.”
Flight Network goes on to describe Singapore as a "colourful city full of tantalising sights, smells, and tastes just waiting to be found", adding that "even in such a busy city, there are still peaceful green spaces like the Gardens by the Bay which has several public greenhouses and some great seaside views too".
