Where To Shop, Eat And Play This Weekend (6-8 Sep)

We hope you’re eager to explore this weekend, because there’s plenty to see and do! Shop for your furbabies, get up close and personal with feathered friends, and much more!

1. Free admission to Jurong Bird Park

Get ready to flock to Jurong Bird Park this September holidays as the park waives its entrance fees! That’s right: You can admire these feathered beauties for free! Eight areas of the park will be gated, charging $2 to $4 for entry; but it’s well worth the price, as these areas will be hosting special wildlife activities for visitors. Get up close and personal with adorable baby penguins, be wowed by a spectacular aerial show, or have lories eat right out of your hands!

2. The Pet Pop-Up

It’s time to shop for your pets for once! This weekend market boasts a wide array of pet brands such as Stella & Chewy’s, Whimzees and Wellness Pet Food, with products available at up to 90% off! If you’re in the mood for bargain hunting, there’s also a flea market where you can snag pre-loved supplies like toys and accessories. In addition, Save our Street Dogs Singapore will be hosting an adoption drive at the market, with 30 dogs looking for new homes. Naturally, furkids are welcome at this event; just don’t forget their leashes or carriers.

Learn how to lead a “minimal waste” lifestyle through eye-opening workshops that will have you making your own shoes, weaving looms and making rainbow mooncakes – all without wasting unnecessary materials! There’s also a marketplace with sustainable goods like handmade bamboo straws or delicious vegan foods like brown rice ice creams, perfect on a hot day.
