Here Is Where You Should Go To Enjoy A White Christmas In Singapore
If you’ve always dreamt of having a white Christmas without needing to travel out of Singapore, now you can! Despite Singapore’s tropical climate, check out these places with ‘snow’ as part of their decorations to really bring out the festive season.
1. Blizzard Time at Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay
This annual, popular event is back again not only with its luminaire light sculptures and 21m-tall Spalliera, but also with its Blizzard Time snowfalls. This sixth edition marks the debut of a Christmas Parade, a brand new interactive Santa’s Workshop, a riveting mix of international theatrical productions, a whimsical Poinsettia Wishes floral display, and more three-dimensional light installations in addition to the event’s traditional games and rides. Till 26th December.
2. Snowfall Spectacular at Jewel Changi Airport
Experience the magic of a White Christmas with Jewel’s Snow Walk and Snowfall Spectacular at Canopy Park, complete with a Festive Market and 16-metre-tall Christmas tree. Till 5th January 2020.
3. A Frozen Wonderland at Changi
While at Changi Airport, step into The Enchanted Forest at Terminal 3’s Departure Hall for a Frozen Wonderland with a sound and light show with snow. Show times are every 30 minutes from 7.30pm to 9pm, till 5th January 2020.
4. A Universal Christmas at Universal Studio Singapore
Head to Universal Studios for a massive Christmas show filled with 3D projections, a spectacular light display, and possibly the largest snowfall on the island. The kids will also get to meet Santa along with Sesame Street characters, friends from Madagascar and the Minions at The Great Christmas Invention. Till 2nd January 2020.
5. Snow City Singapore
Head to Snow City’s Snow Chamber for A Winter Fairy Tale with princess appearances, storytelling and lots of snow. Up to 15 tons of snow is made each week for unique snowfall experiences and a snow blizzard encounter complete with heavy snowfall and strong winds. 11am & 5pm, till 2nd January 2020.
6. Plaza Singapura’s Snow Funhouse
Enjoy sparkly white snowfall sessions while you slide down show slides at Singapore’s first dual-story outdoor snow funhouse at Plaza Singapura. A $45 spend in a single receipt gets you a pair of complimentary entry passes. 7pm & 8pm, till 26th December.
7. Orchard Gateway
Pose with penguins, have a snowball fight or just experience a snow shower at the Outdoor Plaza at Orchard Gateway every night from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm daily at half-hourly intervals. Till 25th December.
8. Christmas Garden at Tanglin Mall
Let your inner child loose in Tanglin Mall’s Christmas Garden’s snow avalanche with snow-like foam. Enjoy the snow daily; the Avalanche drops on weekdays from 7.30pm to 7.45pm, followed by Snow from 7.45pm to 8pm. Weekends and public holidays have additional sessions of the Avalanche and Snow at 8.30pm to 8.45pm, and 8.45pm to 9pm respectively. Till 1st January 2020.
9. Kidzania
Take the kids to the Christmas Kandy Land’s snowfall party at KidZania Singapore’s Main Square. Daily at 11.15am, 1.15pm and 4.15pm till 31st December.
