Things To Do In Singapore: 31 July to 10 Aug
Just because you couldn't get a spot for the National Day Parade doesn't mean you're stuck for things to do. There's more happening in Singapore than the NDP this week. If you want more to do than celebrate our nation's birthday, you've come to the right place. Check out our list to find out what they are:
Watch the NDP Fireworks irl
Who it’s for:Those who couldn't score tickets for the National Day Parade at the National Stadium, but still want to catch the fireworks action nearby. Note: everyone else will have the same idea, so be mentally prepared for crowds. That said, here are some free public areas you can watch:
Tanjong Rhu Promenade. It's across from the National Stadium and the Kallang Basin. Features an elevated lookout tower for wide, unblocked views across the water near Tanjong Rhu MRT.
Kallang Riverside Park. On the other bank across from the stadium, there are open grass patches and space to spread a picnic mat, making it ideal for families.
Lookout Deck at Kallang Basin. Located a short walk from Nicoll Highway MRT, this has clear waterfront sightlines and should also afford a good view of the action.

National Day Concert 2026
Who it's for: Families and nostalgic millennials. It’s an evening of music, games and fireworks at Gardens by the Bay. Relive childhood carnival games with your kids, then enjoy free ice cream, candy floss and popcorn while let Olivia Ong, Benjamin Kheng, Sharon Shobana and Hady Mirza entertain you. End the night watching the stunning fireworks finale. Plus, it’s free!

National Day Celebrations at the National Museum
Who it's for: Those who want a fun day out. First, it’s free. Second, it’s for everybody. Kids can craft keycaps or puppets, families can snap photos at the photobooth. Also, catch storytelling, workshops and performances, then watch Singapore's folklore come alive on the museum facade through dreamy projection mapping when evening comes. You can also watch the NDP telecast under the stars. Warning: Bring an umbrella just in case.

Join the Majulah Hunt
Who it's It's Those who want to know more about the place we call home by actually going around the Lion City. Siang Malam di Kampong Gelam
Who it's for: Those who want diverse National Day cheer in one of Singapore's vibey-est 'hoods. Grab your kakis and family and head to Kampong Gelam to enjoy activities ranging from painting a batik community mural to film screenings and music performances. They promise good food, great music, and a shiok atmosphere.

Mark National Day at Bus Interchanges and MRT Stations
