You Can Now Use NETS Payment In These Malaysian Cities

Good news for Singaporeans who enjoy shopping across the Causeway: you can now use NETS payment elsewhere in Malaysia besides Johor Bahru.

As of today, NETS payment is now accepted in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Melaka as well, with NETS acceptance points available at major malls like KLIA2, Sunway Pyramid, Queensbay Mall, Makhota Parade and Dataran Pahlawan.

Worried about the exchange rate? Fret not; while rates might fluctuate between individual purchases, payment by NETS will use an exchange rate that’s almost equal to the rates offered by money changers. This means you won’t have to choose between carrying huge bundles of cash or paying through the nose for convenience.

Still not convenient enough for you? Well, NETS is working towards allowing Singaporeans to use QR code transactions and other forms of cashless payments in Malaysia, so keep an eye out for that.
